Maria La Del Barrio is an upcoming Philippine remake of the Mexican drama María la del Barrio to air on ABS-CBN this August. It will be starring Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee and is slated to air as part of the network's "Primetime Bida" offering.
Enchong and Erich chemistry sparked in Katorse. Their team-up bloomed in Tanging Yaman. It continued further in Magkaribal. Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales will reunite once more in the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the hit Mexican telenovela “Maria La del Barrio”!
María Hernandez (Erich Gonzales) is a naíve girl who dreams of a Prince Charming in her life. When she meets Luis Fernando Dela Vega (Enchong Dee), she thought she already met her Prince Charming. But when she sees him with another girl, Soraya Montenegro (Paw Diaz), she gets hurt and seeks revenge as she transforms into a rich, gorgeous woman and becomes the girlfriend of Luis Fernando's younger brother, Vladimir Dela Vega (Inno Martin, but replaced by Arron Villaflor). Will Luis love her again for who she was or who she changed into ?
